[Paris Fashion Week] ICOSAE SPRING/SUMMER 2016: SWEET DREAM
Spring/Summer 2016
ICOSAE is bringing you a sweet, elegant and dreamy season !
Succeeding amazing designs with geometrical patterns, this season ICOSAE is altering the conventional defensive and distant atmosphere of suits with the theme of “sweet dreams” and laid-back fashion with patchworks and print. It’s the application of designers’ expertise as well as a way to pay respect to traditional artistry.
ICOSAE is a Paris based design collective founded in 2013 by Valentin Glemarec, Florentin Glemarec and Anthony Hor, who are younger than 22 in average. Despite the youth, the designers have training of fine art for more than a decade in Le Louvre, and are quite experienced designers with spirit of exploration.
Since Spring/Summer 2014, the triplet has brought to the field enchanting designs with excellent fusion of fine art and fashion with tremendously balanced geometrical patterns and vivid accessories. The consequent refreshing vigor hence lowers the defensive atmosphere of traditional suits.
However, instead of being made exclusively for young people, ICOSAE designs are made with the consideration of whether they’d still be useful in a decade to those who wear them. Believing that being fashionable and practical at the same time is the essence of fusion of classical and modern art, ICOSAE is dedicated to deliver time-enduring classics instead of clothes that are forgotten immediately. The ultimate goal of ICOSAE is to explore the universal and eternal fashion, and introduce it to the consumers to enhance their aesthetic awareness. That’s why ICOSAE values quality over quantity, with all the products made in France exclusively.

[Paris Fashion Week] Henrik Vibskov S/S 2016 : The Hot Spray Escape ~exploration of survival~
For Spring Summer 2016, Henrik Vibskov presents The Hot Spray Escape, a prickly and outlandish exploration of survival in Paris men's fashion week. Inspired from the harsh weather conditions of the dessert and the bizarre evolution of its fauna, ideas of extremes and survival playfully mix together with plastic surgery and bodybuilding. These transformative concepts melt into a steamy and surreal vision of the basic human instinct to stay alive, and our search for spiritual tranquility and physical perfection.
Curved lines are built into the cuts of key styles in this collection, building shape into trousers and defining a new silhouette. Bold contrasting circles are inserted into oversized bomber jackets and appear as curved color lines on knitwear. Pointed shoulders appear combined with high waisted trousers and shorts are clasically Vibskov in long and wide styles.
The color palate for SS16 feels extraordiarily fresh with different shades of white contrasting with black and white prints. Digital prints on cotton and jersey styles show vast dessert landscapes and dry geological canyons, while embroideries on khadi-cotton looks nod to dreamy post-card ready imagery.
Shirts and long kaftans are layered with kimono jackets and appear in a clashing mix of black
and white block prints.
